About Breadwinner Kane:

In 2014, Kane exploded in the rap game with the Kevin Gates assisted mixtape, Ain’t Nothin Bigga than the B. The co-headlined project featured popular names like Starlito, The Game, Young Jeezy, Tana and OG Boo Dirty. He followed up the same year with Barely Famous, presented by super-producer Zaytoven, and co-hosted by powerhouse DJ Swamp Izzo.

The back-to-back efforts left a lasting impression with the media, gaining attention from top urban outlets like HipHopDX, Worldstar, HotNewHipHop — and Hip Hop Weekly spotlighted Kane in their “Next2Blow” section.

What first strikes the listener of Kane’s music is the in depth feeling and power in his voice. “Papi Colito”, “Soowoop”, and the ode to the fallen legend, “Soulja Slim” are a few of the gems that the emcee dropped when he came in the game. He also pays homage to the late Alabama rapper Doe B throughout his music today.

Kane’s lyrics tell the real side of struggle. He wants us to consume the whole message before making judgments. We’re all familiar with the story of a crew boss wanting to be in the music business so he invests in a company and studio, but after watching and learning, he realizes he has some things to get off his chest too. In the tradition of rappers/CEOs like Cash Money Baby and Rocko Da Don, Kane is stepping up to the plate — and the mic.

“A boss motivates his team – he’s someone that they look up to and follow,” Kane explains. “A boss helps them grow and makes sure everyone eats.”
