Hip Hop and Hype’s exclusive interview w/ artist Breeze Bambino

What’s going on Breeze Bambino? Please introduce yourself to our readers and tell us where you’re from.

What’s going on Tampa? I go by the name Breeze Bambino. I am an unsigned artist, originally from Baltimore, Maryland. I moved to Georgia when I was 12 years old and currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. With the support of my parents, I have been making music and performing since age of 15. I have performed up and down the east coast and in California. Along with making music and performing, I have also been featured in a few movies and shows including a few Tyler Perry Productions. My ultimate goal is to make good passionate music for people and to grow my brand for my wife, kids, family and fans.

What was life like growing up in your city?

Growing up in Baltimore was a little rough. Not only was I in an impoverished neighborhood, but I was also living in a single parent household. Dont get me wrong, my mom was a very hard working woman and she did everything she could do to provide for me but things were still rough. At a young age, I had to be on guard because I was exposed to junkies and violence; it was just the nature of the community. Being raised in a single parent household forced me to step up to the plate and mature faster than I would have normally. After a few years, my mom thought it was best to move to Georgia. I did not know then, but the move was necessary because it was where I was first introduced to band. The introduction to band sparked my passion for sound and music.

What made you decide music was your passion?

I always liked music. I listened to rap battles and music daily but it wasn’t until I started playing in the band and engineering my own music that I realized how passionate I was about music. It’s like music is in me; it’s apart of my everyday life. I will never forget , when I was 15, my mom brought me my first mbox and protools equipment. I would stay up countless nights trying to perfect my sound, my lyrics…my craft! I would write music and record myself daily. As years progressed the passion for music still remained, which led me to attending The Art Institute of Atlanta for Auto Engineering. Little did I know, that this opportunity would lead to several beneficial avenues for my career.

Tell us about the new mixtape ‘The Revamp Tape’ you are currently pushing and where it’s available.

First, I would like to my fans to know that I have what I call “feel good music”, for any emotion or situation you may go through. Music has helped me cope with different life experiences and I would like my music to do that for others too. With that being said, my new mixtape is currently available on all streaming platforms Spotify, Itunes, Tidal, Soundcloud, My Mixtapez, Deezer etc…. It is my 3rd mixtape, following “Sinful Thoughts 1 and 2”. On this mixtape I wanted to connect with my fans by not holding anything back and speaking from my heart. Everything on The Revamp is free styled, unlike my previous mix-tapes that were written. I felt like I was holding back for some reason writing. The Revamp is more organic and really exhibits me as an artist.
