Heartbeat of the Bronx and associate of late great rap icon Big Punisher, Signz The Trap Poet gives listeners a glimpse into his world with new record “Trap Life”. Signz The Trap Poet is the lyricist that Hip-Hop/Trap has been seeking with his smooth double and triple bar stacks, but has the cleverness of Fabolous with the vibe of Notorious BIG to keep his style oh so New York. Singz delivers hard hitting verses with flows reminiscent of Don Q and other Bronx greats which makes him one to watch. Singz puts the Bronx on his back as he provides an authentic sound detailing his undoubtable grind. The melodic trap tune gives listeners the essence of the Bronx with gritty bars and powerful punchlines giving this new record mass appeal. Inspiration for the song came from Singz real life experiences growing up in the BX, although not a trapper, he is fully familiar with what it is like to be in the trenches. The poetic delivery of “Trap Life” gives listeners a look at his circumstances and why he has to get to success by any means. Being able to accomplish anything you put your mind to is paramount on this record.
The visual was shot by Ray Rich with Vision Filmz alongside Signz personal production team Back Block Productions. The video takes viewers on an epic journey highlighting different traps from Singz old neighborhood of Prospect ave/ Highbridge. The visual drives home the authenticity of the track as Singz narrates over a Tik Tok style after image effect.
Singz is preparing to release his upcoming mixtape T.V.O.(Trap Vibes Only) at the end of September and it is anticipated to be a collaborative trap mosaic of poetic storytelling with a mix of harmony. In addition to this he is set to drop another EP in November that gives listeners a different side of his artistry with more melodies and poetic harmonies relative to Rod Wave. The Ep Entitled “Error” shows pain, emotion and heartbreak, as Singz The Trap Poet is prepared to showcase his full arsenal of talent in 2020 and beyond.
