I’m Toddrick Butler, artist name The Messenger. I am from Pearson, Ga which is also of SuperBowl Champion Tyreek Hill.
Tell us the origin behind your name.
Every song that I deliver to the people I want it to have a meaningful message behind it. The music I make is to build and uplift in every aspect of life. That’s why I’m The Messenger.
What made you decide music was your passion?
I was introduced to various sounds of music growing up from my dad. I fell in love with it from day one. I saw Michael Jackson on TV one day and I remember telling my mama that I wanted to be like him. Not knowing at the time that I could actually sing. So I started to write journals full of lyrics and over time I got better. I started learning recording softwares and learning the basics of recording a song. Over time my craft got better and I never put the mic down since.
How would you describe your style of music?
My style of music can’t be boxed within a genre. I can give you hip hop, r&b, pop, etc. I’m an all music artist who loves music in its entirety. But if I had to it would be R&B and Hip Hop style of music.
Tell us about the single you are currently pushing and where it’s available.
Stay Up is the single that motivates you to be your best person. Never settle on the words of what people say about you. When they try to knock you down continue to Stay Up and keep it moving. Stay Up can be found on all Digital Music Streaming Platforms; Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Google Play Music, YouTube Music, etc.
What else can we catch you doing besides Music?
I have music videos coming for the latest release. I’m also working on merchandise for my brand. The website is currently being built.

Shooting the video for Stay Up and finishing up my album releasing soon.
